“2004: Aransas County Court-At-Law Judge William Adams took a belt to his own teenage daughter as punishment for using the internet to acquire music and games that were unavailable for legal purchase at the time. She has had ataxic cerebral palsy from birth that led her to a passion for technology, which was strictly forbidden by her father’s backwards views. The judge’s wife was emotionally abused herself and was severely manipulated into assisting the beating and should not be blamed for any content in this video. The judge’s wife has since left the marriage due to the abuse, which continues to this day, and has sincerely apologized and repented for her part and for allowing such a thing, long before this video was even revealed to exist. Judge William Adams is not fit to be anywhere near the law system if he can’t even exercise fit judgement as a parent himself. Do not allow this man to ever be re- elected again. This is outrageous!! Whomever said that the mother shouldn’t be held accountable, is mistaken. She should be held just as accountable as the father! Did you hear how he was cursing at her? And this is a law judge??? I am appaulded. Hopefully after this hits the fan he will be thrown out on his head. Or, maybe beaten out with a belt and put on punishment for 6 months. He’s probably a pedofile anyway and don’t want the daughter to find out what he’s been doing on the computer…Ridiculous!!!
Its amazing to me how we want the parents to go to jail everytime a kid puts something on video then have the nerves to say the parent must be doing something themselves that is unethical. Most people who make these kinds of comments were not disciplined and are probably spoiled and the type that would holler “sexual harrassment or rape” if someone gave them a compliment. Our society is out of hand with blaming the parents for everything.
Everyone’s household is different. You can’t regulate or compare what goes on in one home to another especially if it does not violate the law. I would have snatched every camera and hidden device out of every room before she got a whipping.
That being said, I don’t think I would have whipped her that bad though.
The date of the video is 2004. Why is this even being brought up after the fact?
Seems to me the daughter did somethings she wasnt suppose to do and they punished her, which can be consider little to much but she should of stayed off the computer…other than school work and this wouldnt of happen and the wife is just as faukt as the husband is….Her momma got in her two cents as well….This is why KIDS do not need a computer of their own…Capturing their parents on webcam….and bullying among other negative things they do….
AND THIS BASTARD IS FREE AND A JUDGE! CHILD ABUSE AT ITS UGLIEST AND NOTHING BEING DONE? DESERVES TO BE IN JAIL AND THE SO CALLED “MOM” THE SICK WEAK LESS THAN A WOMAN OR MOTHER! I PRAY THIS VIDEO GETS TO AUTHORITIES AND SOMETHING BETTER BE DONE TO THIS “JUDGE”. Also to speak to that child way, showns exactly what they are! Unfit and sick!
Oh my gosh. Please take your outrage and write to the television and cable stations so that they will take that SAME LANGUAGE that you are speaking of off the air. That, to me, is much worse in that it is so prevalent, it is 10 times more destructive to ALL children and people.
I don’t advocate cursing at children, but some good people do use cuss words on a regular basis, and I don’t constitute that as abuse. Let’s get real. People want kids to be removed from a home for every dang thing, only for a child to sent to a new place with complete strangers to be molested and physically and sexually abused. It happens way too often.
We have to modify ourselves and be a strong help in fixing society’s ills. And we have to let God back in our schools and workplaces. With His peaceful presence being near, we will not have the kind of anger and lack of discontentment that drives so many back actions today. That is the answer.
This is outrageous. Why don’t they just get rid of the computer. This child should be removed from this home. The idea that this man stands in judgement of others is quite disturbing. The beating and the language was way over the top and they should be held accountable
I don’t understand how you guys have a problem with an old fashion ass whoppin. If the tape was rolling on what I got as a youth. You all would have really wanted the death penalty for my father. But that butt whippin kept me out of jail because I knew that if I did something wrong, that the consequences could be severe. 30 years in prison is waaaaaay worse then a 5 minute whippin. I don’t see what the problem is. There is no abuse here. Though I do not agree with the cussing, getting whipped with a belt for doing something that you are not suppose to do is fair. I bet she will have more respect and take them serious. Chiildren that are disciplined tend to be more respectful in general as opposed to undisiplined. I have seen kids tell their parents to shut up, ignore them when given a command, and be down right disrespectful to them. The bible says, “Withhold not correction from the child for [if] thou beatest him with the rod, he shall not die. Proverbs 23:13. I think God knows what he is talking about
The only thing wrong with the fathers punishment is all of the fowl language, other than that there is nothing wrong with spankin a child with a belt. These parents did not punch, kick or hit her with really hard objects so how is this considered abuse. The child got what she deserved for disobeying her parents. A lot of pedophiles use the computer to abuse little girls like her (Have we forgotten about date line NBC)so I understand her fathers reason for not wanting her on it.
Same unsupportive comments allows same sex marriages, teaches that parents should use alternative punishments……. People get a grip, God says spare not the rod so is God wrong. We as people reason too much and we teach our children to do the same.The bible sometimes means exactly what it says. Spare not the rod, Use the word of God not your mere reasonings……..God bless!!!!
All of you who say this is acceptable make me sick. That was not a “whoopin’” that was a tyrant. If it we lived in a society that it was ok to beat you kids for misbehaving that would still be going too far. He had no control over himself. And to say not to blame the mom is ridiculous, she threw that kid under the bus so quickly it makes me sick. The kid is already getting beat and she stands there and says “I told her not to do it!” The whole thing is disgusting. I got the belt also as a kid but I do not in any way think it made me a better person. The video disgusted me but the people on here justifying it is just as bad.
It’s funny how some think this is abuse and other’s don’t but think about this in our society if she had’nt be talk to or punished for her dis obedience! and something happened to her because of it! most of you that disagreed with this form of punishment would have blamed the parent’s for not saying anything at all!

People, in the simpliest form, this is physcial, emotional, and verbal brutality. I know what the Word says. It also says “parents do not provoke your children. . .” First of all, it is too late to start beating a 16-year old girl on the buttocks. The mother was just as wrong as the father, or she would still be in the marriage. I do not feel anything for them, but my heart goes out to Hillary. Why didn’t the brilliant parents do what they were suppose to do. We have several computers; they all have “parental controls” on them. All users understand if they violate any/all rules, the computer is no longer assessible to them. I know this judge needs some anger management help. They way is was in this house 50 years ago was wrong, and it is still wrong today. Discipline should be done according to the will and Word of God. This is outrageous. REMOVE THE JUDGE, immediately.
1. By the way, in reference to disciplining the way the Bible says, the Bible does say more than once not to spare the rod. No, it does not say abuse. But it says that “The rod drives foolishness from out of a child.”
2. Who says that the parents just started punishing their daughter at 16? And, the parental blocks don’t always work so well on the computer.
3.From the video, it appeared to me that the mother kept trying to get the belt away from her husband so that she could help her daughter. You notice that she kept trying to take the belt away from him, and then only gave the girl one lash when she got the belt and then left. She obviously knew that her husband would hit the girl more. What the heck does someone who is afraid of a man do in this situation? It’s not always cut and dry.
4. I’m glad to see so much outrage over this! Perhaps now we can have a national agenda to help the tens of thousands of boys and girls who are literally sex slaves right here right now, in America, and who are TRULY being abused in EVERY sense of the word.
My mother didnt discipline me as a child/teenager and I ran all over her, talking really ulgy, hanging out past midnight at age 16 etc. I regret speaking to her that way now as an adult but if she or my dad would have gotten into my ass like that well lets just say I would be better off. Now I have three daughters first one came at age 17 and so on. I had no clue, had to get out since I had child #2 then #3 and unmarried. Still rebellous I found real quick how hard it was and have struggled over the years. My three daughters know they will not disrespect me I did whip them like that but didnt have to do it too often. I agree with what happened.
I have a problem w/any parent that curses their children! I dont curse at mine. Who wasn’t raised getting whippings? The thing is that this goes on all the time and if u remove every child that got a whippings, their would b more children in the system than in jail. Ok, so he got caught, well u take her and feed her and cloth her and raise her. Ppl kill me…take the kids, lock em up!!! NO he is raising his child. I understand that their is real abuse out there. Go track them down and put them n jail. Was this abuse, in my opinion…..Verbally yes but other than that….NO! Y did the mom come n and hit her, IDK but if he goes down so should she

I don’t see all the horror here. I wish the parents of some of these God-awful kids would get disciplined this way. This is NOT abuse at its worst, as one comment says. She got a butt-whooping for stealing, as her parents told her not to. I wonder if she had disobeyed them much prior to this. if this were a Black child, I wonder if there’d be so much outrage.
I can’t help thinking about all of the current outrage over this, and then so many people feel that it’s okay for the police to beat people worse than this, and so often shoot people. I bet half the posters here are not as outraged when they are reported in media.
By the way, I don’t think it’s okay to just beat the heck out of your children out of policy or rage; but there are definitely times where a situation does warrant such punishment. I cannot help thinking about the many kids who are largely undisciplined because they have never had real consequences for their bad actions, and are a threat to our society as a result.
